Trade Minister Todd McClay has confirmed that legal verification of the New Zealand-India Free Trade Agreement is complete. The historic deal will be signed in New Delhi on Monday, April 27.

The agreement eliminates tariffs on 95% of New Zealand’s exports. “This gives our exporters unprecedented access to 1.4 billion people,” McClay said. Key beneficiaries include the forestry, sheep meat, and wool sectors, with duty-free access starting on day one.
